At Logicalis, we rely on insightful data and we’re seeking a Data Analyst (BI Developer) to put it to use. Our ideal hire will have the mathematical and statistical skill combined with a curiosity and creativity. This role will be required to do various data management tasks but much of focus will be in design, build, and deploy BI solutions. We’re looking for someone willing to jump right in to help the company get the most out of our data, with excellent communication and presentation skills. This role requires a set of technical skills and should also have stellar communication skills as they work across departments and determine what business leaders want to gain from the company’s large datasets.
Work closely with business users and technical team to develop data models that can be used to provide unique insights into our data and pipelines for research and reporting to answer questions for the overall business.
Design and develop visual reports, dashboards, & KPIs in Power BI, and test Power BI solutions.
Develop tabular and multidimensional models that follow industry best practice.
Work with other data team members to identify and understand source data system and business requirements for solutions delivery.
Implement row-level security on data along with an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.
Maintain and support data analytics platforms.
Evaluate and improve existing BI systems.
Responsible for design methodology and project documentaries.
Develop and update technical documentation.
Participate in investigation of new technology solutions and selection of new technologies, consult on requirements including commercial part of it, and building prototypes.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or equivalent.
Must have 2-3 years of experience in data-specific roles.
Ability to communicate with business as well as technical teams.
Ability to learn and quickly respond to rapidly changing business environment.
Documenting, designing, and modelling solutions and explaining, representing, and discussing the same with the team.
Be up to date about the best practices and advancements in development.
Applying experience and knowledge to future solution considerations.
Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for translating data into meaningful visualizations.
Communication skills, especially explaining technical concepts to non-technical business leaders.
Able to create data-rich dashboards, implementing Row-level Security (RLS) in Power BI, writing DAX expressions; developing custom BI products with scripting and programming languages such as R, Python, will be an advantage.
Understanding and experience with Microsoft BI stacks such as Power Query, Power Pivot, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS.
Comfort working in a dynamic team with concurrent task assignment.
