Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal review and advice to all levels of management on a wide variety of legal and business issues in across APAC entities.
  • Negotiate, draft and review agreements, including master service agreements, vendor agreements, reseller agreements, conditions of sale, non-disclosure agreement, teaming agreement, customer PO’s terms and conditions, statements of work, partnership agreements, etc.
  • Assist in compliance reporting to corporate headquarters.
  • Assist in all ad-hoc projects.
  • Legal review of tender/bids and ensure bid inputs comply with corporate policies.
  • Manage and assist in legal compliance matters, ISO certification(s), business licenses, contractual compliance, etc.
  • Assist in licensing and compliance matters.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in law
  • At least 2-3 years of private practice and or as in-house counsel (preference for experience within an MNC), handling corporate/commercial matters.
  • Strong and effective communication skills. Mandarin Chinese proficiency (both written and spoken) is an added advantage to support regional entities.
  • Possess a good business sense with the ability to connect business and legal knowledge to provide strategic advice.
  • Keen attitude towards learning and a can-do attitude towards taking on non-standard work tasks.
  • Ability to work well in a team-centric setting, both within the Legal team and externally with other adjacent corporate and business teams.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in the IT sector and/or in an intermediary setting (distributor, reseller, etc.) is an added advantage.
