Role Title: Group IT Director
Reports to: Group Finance Director
Location: UK preferred and travel to our offices in Maidenhead and London will be required. Open to international locations for exceptional candidates


The role

The Group IT Director role has dual focus; it will firstly lead on the transformation and continued delivery of managed services via Logicalis Group’s centralised services platform and secondly, play a pivotal role in the management and development of Logicalis’ internal IT ecosystem. 

An operational role with a strategic mindset, this new position is critical for driving continuous improvements and developing a considered IT environment focused on governance, compliance and protection for our company and its customers. 

In this role you will be passionate about empowering our regions to deliver consistent, high quality managed services to their customers through our centralised services platform. You will find great satisfaction in leveraging the latest technology to improve delivery margin and customer satisfaction in these services and engaging with different regions and cultures throughout Logicalis to continue our service evolution.


Accountabilities

Deliver a transformational overhaul of the Group’s centralised services platform 

• Underpinned by the findings of a 2024 external review, develop the strategic roadmap for the tool 
successfully implementing change initiatives which improves stakeholder value.

Maintain daily operations of the platform ecosystem ensuring high availability, compliance and performance are maintained

• Maintain high availability and uptime of MSP services to our internal teams and customers 
• Maintain compliance with security standards including ISO27001 
• Report on the platform’s adherence to availability, compliance and performance measures 
• Reporting on tools cost usage and distribution of cost to regions based on usage.  
• Manage platform vendor relationships, contract currency and optimise license agreements 
• Manage the associated platform budget. 

Optimisation and standardisation of service delivery

• Using a data driven repeatable approach, analyse the services delivery cost and effort expenditure and identify key areas for optimisation 
• Establish and execute plans to optimise cost and effort in regional services businesses 
• Work closely with our key partners to accelerate optimisation activities 
• Report on the progress to optimise and standardise the service delivery function 
• Margin percentage improvement 
• Leading indicators including ticket volumes and automation percentage.  

Plan and deliver continuous improvement of the platform ecosystem

• Lead a team of platform engineers to deliver the team’s key objectives and mission 
• Run a consultative managed services committee to prioritise and deliver features required by key stakeholders 
• Maintain and communicate a roadmap of items to be delivered that cover short-, mid- and long-term horizons 
• Monthly budget review and progress reporting. 

Internal Logicalis IT governance support

• Act as a bridge between IT and non-technical departments, promoting understanding and cooperation 
• Strategically review the internal Logicalis platform estate, identifying opportunities to consolidate and deliver savings 
• Provide governance support to deliver IT projects effectively and efficiently 
• Manage internal platform vendor relationships, contract currency and optimise license agreements 
• Work with the Chief Risk Officer and regional IT to:
  • Facilitate disaster recovery and business continuity plans, minimizing downtime and ensuring system resilience.
  • Develop and implement global cybersecurity policies to protect the organization from internal and external threats
  • Ensure compliance with international regulations, data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), and industry standards. 
  •  Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments and take proactive steps to mitigate potential threats. 
• Oversee license agreements and support agreements for the internal Platforms including 
  • Workday (HRMS)
  • (LMS)
  • Microsoft Enterprise Agreement
  • Logicalis Connected (Global SharePoint site)
  • Viva Engage Cognos Controller (reporting consolidation)

The person

• Self-starter who enjoys working independently  
• Strong communicator, 
• Demonstrated analytics and reporting skills that provide data-driven rationales. Must have hands-on experience with Power BI. 
• Comfortable working in an agile environment and playing a key role in driving operational excellence
• Adapts quickly to dynamic business priorities, uncertainty, and new frameworks & technologies, by effectively managing self and teams through ambiguity and change 
• Thrives on challenges, able to work well under pressure and has a can-do attitude 
• Constructively challenges the status quo, offering alternate solutions and passionately advocating continuous improvement

Your experience

Required:
• 10+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a global, senior leadership role 
• Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale global IT operations, infrastructure, and cloud technologies, with proven track record of successfully implementing digital transformation across multiple regions  
• Have a service operations background in a managed services environment, including experience with core MSP tools including:
  • Service NOW 
  • Logic Monitor
  • Common automation tooling (Resolve, Ansible etc) 

• Hands-on experience with cybersecurity, data privacy regulations, and global compliance. 
• Proven success in driving business optimisation and a demonstrated track record of optimising operations teams

Education and Certification:
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred. 
• ITIL, PMP, CISSP, or relevant IT certifications preferred.
